LUAS

The planned line from St. Stephens Green to Broadstone and on to Broombridge is still on track. From Broadstone to Broombridge the route will be the old railway cutting which passes under the North Circular Road, New Cabra Road and Fassaugh Road bridges.  The construction work should cause minimal disruption in Phibsborough and Cabra and the end product should provide a wonderful public transport amenity for the area

LUAS coming to Boombridge, maybe
Trains at Rathborne A site viewer submitted some a link regarding the LUAS Line D.

This the new Luas  Line D is the proposed extension of the Luas City Centre Link (Line BX) northward from the City Centre via Grangegorman to Broombridge.  Not quite on our door step but interesting how it could pan out in years going forward.

New Phoenix Park Station opens Monday 21st January
Trains at Rathborne
The new Phoenix Park Station will open for commuters on Monday 21st January.
The station will be served by commuter trains on the Maynooth/Clonsilla to Dublin line.
Full timetable details are available at www.irishrail.ie
The station will serve the new Phoenix Park Racecourse development.

Guess you may have to factor this in your commute plans to the City Centre now each morning!

Maynooth line
New services on the ever-growing Maynooth line include from Monday 21st January include an 06.38hrs Maynooth-Connolly; 08.10hrs Maynooth-Connolly (non-stop to Drumcondra), and extra evening services at 16.20hrs (from Connolly) and 19.29hrs (from Pearse). Additional Sunday evening services will also operate.

Furthermore, Iarnód Éireann will also operate an additional 07.30hrs service from Connolly Station, serving all stations to Maynooth, and an 08.08hrs non-stop service from Connolly to Maynooth, in response to demand from students and staff at NUI Maynooth.
